performed by brand new companies; music from old favourites and fresh new
voices; and cutting edge comedy to make you laugh, make you think and boggle
your brain all at the same time.
Add into the mix the wonderful Tradition Bearers strand of the International
Music Festival and the daring exploits of the Fringe Festival, and The Rondo
cements its reputation as Bath's premier venue for excitement, adventure and

Idomeno
Bath Opera
First performed in 1781, Mozart was only 25 when he wrote Idomeneo. This piece is now acknowledged as Mozart's first fully fledged masterpiece in the opera house. Now, it is more often performed as a concert piece, which is how it is to be performed by Bath Opera, allowing the magic of the music to shine through. |
