After an extremely busy 2009 supporting Rob Brydon on his sold out UK tour and a critically acclaimed performance on The Royal Variety Show Hal Cruttenden is one of the UK’s fastest rising comedy stars and he is here to present his own unique comic vision. He’s angry … but not sure why!
“A delightful surprise… warm-hearted, quick- witted observations about being a camp, middle class heterosexual.” The Daily Telegraph
“Go and see Hal Cruttenden, he’s got something to say and he’ll make you laugh; a lot.” The Daily Mirror ****

Chortle Award Nominee 2009
Andrew O’Neill is, quite simply, British comedy’s hottest property right now. In 2010 he has toured the world, with appearances at the Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and New Zealand Comedy Festivals, and the Hollywood Fringe.
Don't miss this chance to see the most exciting young comedian around.
“wholly personal, fascinating stuff, original and left-field to the point of bumping into the perimeter fence. A charming, genuine stage presence … do not leave without hearing him” The Scotsman
“probably the best actual jokes I’ve heard on the Fringe this year … his skill with language is on a par with the best of Peep Show or The Day Today” The Guardian
“O’Neill packs in more gags and info than anyone else on the circuit … I doubt you’ll find a funnier (and more thought-provoking) show – a Must-See Show” The Stage

Produced by the Award Winning Rosemary Branch Theatre
TIME OUT CRITICS CHOICE
Breakfast becomes far more complicated than it should when Emma Bovary lets the conversation unravel to expose her hidden past to her blissfully unaware husband.
Fay Weldon imagines this new episode for the classic story of debt, passion and bourgeois ambition in 18th century rural France. Emma’s memories magically conjure passionate lovers. Subtly observed breakfast room drama moves to laugh out loud townsfolk and back to the central tragic-comic marriage until there are no more secrets left to share.
‘Terrific, never a dull moment and truly ingenious.’ Fay Weldon on this production.

Peter Gill and Andrew Meller present a fabulous, 90 minute show dedicated to the satirical humour of American comic legends Bob Newhart and Tom Lehrer.
Originating from the 1950s and 1960s, audiences will once again be rolling around with laughter as they are reminded of Newhart’s ‘Driving Instructor’, ‘Introducing Tobacco to Civilisation’ and ‘USS Codfish’; and Lehrer’s sharp witted songs ‘Poisoning Pigeons in the Park’, ‘I Got it from Agnes’ and ‘The Masochism Tango’.
This is a wonderfully entertaining and light-hearted evening of wit suitable for all of those with at least a modicum of a sense of humour.

Anti-Panto! follows on from New Old Friends’ hilarious comedies Mate, & Sketchy at Best, and this time they’re creating a new breed of pantomime. No tired old gags here, this is an anarchic roar of a Christmas show, and not one for families.
The team felt a lack of entertainment on offer for those without young families at Christmas and set about making it right. Featuring a multi-generational cast and spot-on comedy, Anti-Panto! is a rare Christmas treat.
“Hilarious...go see them!” – Arthur Smith
“Riotous...left the audience hooting.” – Venue Magazine

Gavin Osborn brings his story-songs to The Rondo for the first time since supporting Daniel Kitson in 2004. This time, he’s trying to recreate the success of his Edinburgh show ‘Meeting Your Heroes’ by performing it all over again. With a few new songs thrown in. Singing about love, nostalgia, break-ups...and occasionally, burgers, clown-costumes and village stakeouts, this is a lyrical feast for the wistful, the hopeful, the lovelorn and the losers.
“Gavin Osborn writes minutely detailed, bittersweet story songs on his acoustic guitar and sings them with comic timing usually absent from his anti-folk contemporaries”
Stewart Lee, The Sunday Times
“A brilliantly accomplished singer-songwriter with touchingly quirky lyrics” Chortle |
