Mondays from September to December Ages 18 upwards 7:45pm

The Rondo hosts a playwriting forum for anyone who is writes scripts at any level. The perfect opportunity to share ideas, identify problems and work through some of the tricks of the trade. There will be visits from theatre professionals to give advice on getting your work shown. The work will be performed as Varied Voices on Friday 4th and Saturday 5h April.

Led by Dougie Blaxland.

The meetings will encourage existing writers and help those who have an ambition to write to get started.

The sessions may involve:

Approaches to writing plays for the stage/developing structure/developing character/developing theme
Reading and commenting on the work of one/two of the group each week.
Setting specific tasks including writing for a group of actors...
Getting your work out there/approaches to getting work staged/ the realities of the market place....
Advice on new work to see
Occasional visits from other professionals to bring new and varied perspectives to the sessions
Rehearsed readings

First Tuesdays in each month from Jan to Mar

A series of workshops to help explore and develop performance skills. Workshops are open to anyone, so please feel free to come along and join in the fun... it doesn't matter how experienced you are!
