A dark musical comedy in which the songs and black humour of the Music Hall are set against a nightmare world.

A British soldier accidentally kills a German woman on the last day of the Second World War. This fabulous play explores personal responsibility in wartime and reflects on the fate of civilians caught up in conflict. Touching yet wildly comic, with classic routines from Music Hall ‘greats’ such as Max Miller, Sandy Powell, Frank Randle and Stanley Holloway.

Tickets: £8, Concs£6 Professional

A dark musical comedy about Fathers, Tea and History and an extraordinary mix of the humour of 1940's Britain and the dark tragedy of the world's most bitter conflict. The play revolves around the mistaken and pointless killing of a German girl on the last day of the second world war. The British Tommy responsible imagines himself back home in a bombed out British city where his father's obsession with music hall turns every tragedy into a dark farce. In this nightmare world the dead German comes to life and weaves in and out of the nightmare, gradually taking the place of the soldier's fiancée, who has run off with a G.I.

“An effortless blend of absurdist comedy and legendary variety routines” - The Guardian
