The Rondo Theatre Company celebrates the 150th anniversary of Shaw's birth with a production of one of his most dramatic, controversial and thought provoking plays. Banned for eight years, the play was originally condemned as immoral, with its focus on prostitution and incest. Today, however, the play is applauded for its astute dissection of the corruption at the heart of Victorian society.

Tickets: £7, Concs£5

When Shaw completed Mrs. Warren's Profession in 1893, it was censored for eight years. When it was finally produced on the London stage in 1902, the public was outraged by its controversial content. Now, celebrating 150 years since Shaw's birth, The Rondo Theatre Company are proud to present the original play in all of its glory. Be assured, Shaw's ever present wit and grotesque characters have lost none of their bite over the years and ensure that the play is a joy to watch and will keep you thinking long after the curtain falls. With today's frequent accusations of corruption and scandals running to the very heart of our political system, it's as relevant now as it ever was.
