One time apprentice to the great Houdini, our hero's memories blur and change like dust in a breeze, and a macabre and beautiful carnival begin. Houdini's Suitcase is a stunning piece of visual theatre that fuses live performance, extraordinary puppets and a haunting soundtrack. Exactly who is Joshka Malouth and how has he obtained Houdini's Suitcase?
An old man sits within a cloud of steam on a deserted railway platform surrounded by his luggage. Time slows down when you are waiting for something important to happen, and all you can do is think. Joshka has a lot to think about, many events and experiences to recall, memories, regrets and triumphs. These memories are contained deep within the bags and suitcases as tattered souvenirs and threadbare mementos. As the bags are opened a cast of bizarre and unusual characters emerge to reveal moments from his past. With stunning imagery, puppetry, object manipulation and very little text
