Following their sell out gig last year, Naked Voices return to The Rondo with a musical feast of 15 wonderful voices, blending in beautiful harmony. Skilful arrangements of Bjork, Bowie, Britney and the Beatles, a 16th Century madrigal and a modern piano piece are performed with only the human voice. Choreography and lighting add visual impact, enhance the mood and deliver a thrilling and uplifting experience, bringing audiences flooding back every time. “Naked Voices’ talent is so rich, their repertoire so broad and their performance so energetic that it’s quite a heavenly package. Uplifting wit, seamless choreography and unselfconscious verve.” - Venue Workshop Two songs, taught in one afternoon in four-part harmony by four experienced teachers. A fun and uplifting workshop with all parts taught by ear. Participants are invited on stage to share the songs they have learned as part of Naked Voices’ evening concert. |

Naked Voices’ trademark is sparkling acappella arrangements of an impressively diverse range of songs, brought to life by atmospheric tableaux and choreography. Fifteen individually talented vocalists work together to create a shifting musical tapestry in a show that is suitable for all ages and all musical tastes.
Stage-lighting and projections add to the drama, but there isn’t a microphone in sight.
Most of the material is arranged by talented director Dee Jarlett, but other members of the band David Green and Elaine Wilson, as well as previous co-director Ali Orbaum, have also chucked their musical hats into the ring, The result is their finest set to date, with songs by Britney, Bjork and Bowie rubbing up alongside Eric Satie ... and Flanders and Swann.
The band members themselves cover a spectrum, ranging in age from 25 – 55, and including a doctor of mathematics, a children’s author, a drama teacher, a GP, a computer programmer, and even an ex-advertising executive, recently turned full time community choir leader since his involvement with Naked Voices began 4 years ago.
Alongside their concerts, Naked Voices have always run harmony singing workshops, open to anyone who wants to take part. They teach three complete song arrangements in an afternoon – in four part harmony with all the music taught by ear - inviting participants to perform on stage with them as part of the evening concert.
